19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A comeback the Russian player secured his first trophy for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has endured a difficult year, winning just one win at the big events and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in particular - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and finally separating with former coach Cervara.
Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has steadily progressed in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought three-set triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's initial trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface since spring of that year.
The win also indicates Medvedev has secured 21 championships at 21 distinct competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a competition with my both daughters together, so to secure a title is really nice," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, including in Halle previously this season.
The player's defensive approach and regular outbursts on the tennis court had led commentators to question if his capacity to play at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to approach the net and perform aggressively, backed up by an improved service.
The champion came back from a break down in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five games to go ahead.
The competitors traded break points in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his first ATP Tour victory, took control to create a final set.
The opponent saved four early break points in a close deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, he earned the title with a shot at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
